# Cancel Outbound Shipment

> Cancel a created outbound shipment

Cancels an outbound shipment. Only shipments in `created` status can be cancelled.

**Permission:** `outbound_shipments:update`

## Path parameters

## Request body

<ParamField body="reason" type="string">
  Optional free-text reason for the cancellation.
</ParamField>

## Response

Returns the cancelled outbound shipment.
