# Object model

> Glossary

| Term | Id | What it is |
| - | - | - |
| Organization | The API key selects it. | Your account with Beach. |
| FBO (For Benefit Of) account | `id`. `vaultId` is `PV-######` and is not that id. | One customer. Items, inbound shipments, and outbound shipments belong to one FBO account. |
| Primary FBO | The row with `isPrimary: true`. | Created with the organization. One per organization. Pass it when the inventory belongs to you. |
| Product | `id` from [List Products](/api-reference/products/list). | A catalog SKU. Shared. Not a piece in the vault. |
| Inventory item | `id`. | One physical piece of a product on one FBO account. It is readable once the inbound shipment is `accepted`. |
| Inbound line | `inventoryItemIds` on the line. | The accepted units of one product on an inbound shipment. |
| Alias | `aliasVaultId`. | A 7–20 digit id that resolves to the same FBO account at intake. Separate from `vaultId`. |
| Address | `id`. | A `return`, `billing`, or `alternate` location stored on the FBO account. The intake address is not one of these. |
| Insured ceiling | `maxInsuredValueCents`. | The account ceiling is on [Get FBO Account](/api-reference/fbo-accounts/get). The organization has its own. Format is on [Conventions](/getting-started/conventions). |

Outbound destinations are sent on the shipment. They are not a stored address type.

## Inventory status

Shipment statuses are on the [inbound](/quickstart/life-cycle/inbound-shipments), [transfer](/quickstart/life-cycle/transfers), and [outbound](/quickstart/life-cycle/outbound-shipments) lifecycles. Inventory has these:

| Status | Meaning |
| - | - |
| `in_vault` | The item is readable on [List Inventory](/api-reference/inventory/list). |
| `pending_transfer` | `fboAccountId` is still the source account. [Journeys](/guides/webhooks/journeys) says this can be skipped. |
| `pending_outbound` | The outbound shipment is being prepared. That change sends no inventory webhook. |
| `shipped_out` | The item has left. Delivery stays on the outbound shipment. |
