# Conventions

> Money, timestamps, and idempotency

## Money

Insured-value ceilings and statement totals use a `*Cents` field. The value is a decimal string of cents. `maxInsuredValueCents` of `"250000"` is \$2,500.00.

## Timestamps

Every `createdAt`, `updatedAt`, and `*At` value on a resource or inside webhook `data` is an ISO-8601 string, and the envelope `timestamp` is an ISO-8601 string. Unix seconds stay on `X-RateLimit-Reset` and `svix-timestamp`.

## Idempotency

Creates that accept `Idempotency-Key` replay the original response for 24 hours. The rules are on [Idempotency](/getting-started/idempotency).
