This guide walks you through the key steps to start using Beach Depositories for your organization.

1. Organization setup

Your Beach Depositories account starts with an organization. This is created during onboarding by Beach Depositories staff and represents your business entity. Each organization has:
  • A name identifying your business
  • A max insured value — the upper limit of total insured inventory value
  • A risk score — used for internal risk assessment
Organization creation is handled by Beach Depositories staff during onboarding. Contact your account representative to get started.

2. Invite members

Organization admins can invite team members who need access to manage FBO accounts and inventory. Members are assigned one of two roles:

3. Create FBO accounts

FBO (For Benefit Of) accounts represent the individuals or entities whose assets are stored in the vault. Each FBO account includes:
  • Contact information (name, email, phone)
  • Optional business name
  • Configurable max insured value and risk score
  • One or more addresses (return, billing, alternate)

4. Receive inventory

Once FBO accounts are set up, inventory can be received into the vault:
  1. Create an inbound shipment with tracking information
  2. Vault staff receives and inspects the items
  3. Items are cataloged and assigned to the appropriate FBO account
  4. The FBO account holder is notified

5. Invite organization members

Invite clients as Clerk organization members so they can sign in to the vault app and:
  • View their stored inventory
  • Request outbound shipments
  • Track shipment status
  • Manage their addresses
